the brief
The brief was to supply a range of merchandising items to 367 UK stores to display and support the roll-out of an exciting new pet product range.
Depending on the store size and existing shelving, individual stores were to be allocated various quantities and combinations of 9 merchandising components.
the products
The mix of items included:
- Metal components
- Plastic elements
- Cardboard materials
Each of the items were carefully chosen to seamlessly integrate with the stores’ existing shelving systems, allowing for quick and easy installation without the need for major modifications.
The materials were chosen not only for their functionality but also for their durability and ability to maintain a fresh, professional look. This careful selection process ensured that the merchandising solutions would continue to effectively support sales long after the initial roll-out.
the execution
Once manufactured the items were brought into the Joalpe warehouse in West Yorkshire within the required timescale.
Tailored packing sheets were printed for each individual store, showing the quantity of each item and an image of the item for easy identification by store staff.
Boxes were packed with the correct quantities of the individual items and delivered to all 367 stores within a 24-hour period.
Before closure, EVERY individual box was photographed to show its contents and a packing sheet added, to ensure that any issues arising could be subsequently checked and confirmed.
a success story
The roll-out proceeded with remarkable efficiency, exceeding the expectations of both the client and the stores. This smooth execution demonstrated Joalpe’s expertise in handling complex logistics, with every store receiving their materials on time and in perfect order. The absence of any significant issues throughout the process was a testament to the meticulous planning and attention to detail, setting a high standard for future projects of this scale.
